RTS NOMAD Wireless Belt Pack System - rental available from January 2026
Our RTS NOMAD wireless belt pack systems will be on rental stock from January 2026 and will come fully flight cased with chargers and choice of headsets. The AP1000 access points are IP65 rated and ruggedized for full outside wet weather use and fully configured for POE as standard. NOMAD has been designed to integrate with any RTS matrix that has OMNEO capability, but Absolute Broadcast can ship NOMAD as a 'stand alone' wireless belt pack system with our RTS ODIN or OMS matrix systems. This allows NOMAD to be fully integrated into any comms system such as Riedel Artist and Clear Com Matrix using the analogue 4 wire I/O on the RTS frame. We have extensive experience of setting the systems up and can advise or even be on site to help the process for your project.
NOMAD - DECT-BASED WIRELESS BELT PACK SYSTEM

The RTS Nomad Wireless Intercom System is an integrated digital wireless communications system, consisting of belt packs and access points communicating over encrypted DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) wireless technology. Communication between access points and the matrix uses OMNEO technology, the Dante-based platform for high-quality audio over IP. DECT is a licence free, globally accepted standard for wireless communication. The solid design of the RTS Nomad Wireless Intercom System is matched by the strength and flexibility of the communication system it supports. Integrating effortlessly with digital wired and legacy analogue systems, Nomad redefines team coordination by wirelessly providing 16 channels of encrypted glitch-free audio and control to intercom users wherever they may roam.
NOMAD - TR-1000 WIRELESS BELTPACK

The TR-1000 Belt Pack takes many of its design cues from the highly successful RTS DBP - the Digital Belt pack. Many of the features of the DBP are featured here on the TR-1000, so users will feel immediately at home using this wireless belt pack. Programmable like ROAMEO, the comms teams will feel immediately at home with the seamless integration into IP and AZedit. The belt pack is IP-65 ingress protection rated, with 16 full-duplex audio paths across 4 accessible scrollable display pages. With a battery run time of 18 hours, the unit will last the most arduous of working days, all while working over DECT at a bandwidth of 20hz to 7.5kHz, giving superb audio clarity. A TRRS 3.5mm socket allows the use of wired earbuds with integrated mic. Absolute Broadcast's TR-1000 wireless belt packs have a 4 pin female headset XLR connector and we can provide a full range of headsets to suit your production type. Away from the charger station? You can charge this unit with a phone charger. With a Full duplex embedded microphone and integrated speaker with AEC, full hands free communications are possible - great for rigging and set up operations on site. Too dark to see? The TR-1000 wireless belt pack even has an in-built flash light.
NOMAD - CB-1000 BELT PACK & BATTERY CHARGER

The 5 bay NOMAD CB-1000 Wireless Belt Pack and Battery Charger can charge the belt packs with the headsets still connected if desired. It will charge the belt packs with out the headsets connected or indeed charge just the removable battery pack. The power supply is fully integrated.
NOMAD - TR-1000 ACCESS POINT - ANTENNA
The AP-1000 Access Point is the heart of the new NOMAD wireless belt pack system. Each TR-1000 wireless belt pack has a 'home' antenna and each antenna can have a maximum capacity of 10 belt packs. Systems with well over 100 belt packs are readily achievable. The coverage area per AP-1000 varies according to conditions, but a maximum indoor range of 200 metres and a maximum outdoor range of approximately 300 to 500 metres is achievable, so big systems have a huge potential coverage area. There are three ways of powering the AP-1000 Access Point. Using standard ethernet infrastructure, the unit can be powered by PoE, a 12v DC Power Supply if PoE is not available (Absolute Broadcast will provide the power supplies at the point of rental if required) or the option of an Anton Bauer battery, both using the 4 pin female XLR. Its connectivity to either ODIN or ADAM is exactly the same as the KP series panels, with 2 x ethernet RJ45 connectors and 2 x Optical SFP's. The unit is ingress protected to IP65 and weighs in at just over 2KG.
